QuarkXPress 2015 and 2016 – How to distinguish?
You probably will have noticed that QuarkXPress 2015 and QuarkXPress 2016 share the same color theme, the same icon, the same appearance.
It’s to visualize that QuarkXPress 2016 builds on top of the foundation that was set with QuarkXPress 2015. And focus remains the same: Stability, Quality, Performance. Of course QX2016 adds all the nice additions, like color picker, HTML5 Publications and converting PDF to editable objects.
As Quark’s license agreement allows you to keep the previous version installed and use it on the same machine, you can use QuarkXPress 2015 and 2016 at the same time.
Just, how do you easily distinguish them, when switching between the two versions?
Here probably the smallest feature of QuarkXPress 2016 comes into action. Small but really helpful:
QuarkXPress 2016 is the first version ever to display its version number on the icon in the dock and also when underneath the icon in the Command+Tab switcher.
