QuarkXPress 9 & 10 for Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks
QuarkXPress product manager Matthias Guenther made the following comment on our story about Mac OS X 10.9 “Mavericks”:
————————
Please note that for both versions, 9 and 10, there are Mavericks-compatible updates available now.
If you are using QuarkXPress 9, please update to v9.5.4.
If you are using QuarkXPress 10, please update to at least v10.0.1.
Both can be found here: http://www.quark.com/Support/Downloads/

In their November 2013 newsletter, Quark also notes:
“Please note that Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard will no longer be supported with this update – please continue using 9.5.3.1″
and
“You can also update using the Quark Update software.” (You’ll find it under the QuarkXPress menu while QuarkXPress is running — it’s also in your Mac’s System Preferences.)

Is there any Application for transmitting files from Quark 5.0 to Quark 10?
Nico: Not that I’m aware of — Keeping QuarkXPress 8 or 9 around for that purpose is wise. However, I’ll ask around to see if anyone’s working on something like that. Hang on…
