Create Websites with Freeway Pro 6
We’ve sung the praises of Softpress Freeway Pro before (here and here), and now Macworld has posted a review of Freeway Pro 6 by Michael Burns here.
Freeway Pro is a website-creation application with an interface similar to QuarkXPress or InDesign. If Dreamweaver leaves you baffled, and the QuarkXPress Web layout space isn’t enough for you, check out this $150 tool.
If you’re already a user of Freeway Pro 5, see the list of new features here. Of particular note: enhanced HTML5 and advanced CSS3 features, enhanced mobile device support, Retina display support, and enhanced form features.
Jay Nelson is the editorial director of PlanetQuark.com, and the editor and publisher of Design Tools Monthly. Heβs also the author of the QuarkXPress 8 and QuarkXPress 7 training titles at Lynda.com, as well as the training videos Quark includes in the box with QuarkXPress 7 . In addition, Jay writes regularly for Macworld and Photoshop User magazines and speaks at industry events.
Freeway Pro 6 is a great program. Another program to compliment any designer’s web tool box is Tumult’s Hype 2 β Using Tumult Hype, you can create beautiful HTML5 web content. Interactive content and animations made with Tumult Hype work on desktops, smartphones and iPads. No coding required.

It’s a great program and I’ve already put a few Quark users onto it via the Quark forums.
