One Quick Dingbat in QuarkXPress
In any version of QuarkXPress, if you’d like to set one character in Zapf Dingbats, press Option-Command-Z (Windows: Alt-Ctrl-Z), then type the dingbat character. XPress will switch to Zapf Dingbats for one character, then revert back to whatever font you were previously using.
Second tip: to type one character in the Symbol font, press Option-Command-Q (Windows: Alt-Ctrl-Q).
