New York Times Photo Morgue
The New York Times is well known for its amazing photography as well as its writing, and now many of those photographs are available on Tumblr at The Lively Morgue.
It isn’t comprehensive — they estimate that if they posted 10 pictures from their print collection online every day, they wouldn’t be done until the year 3935! — but it’s an amazing resource, and many of the images can be ordered as prints. Many of the images also include information from the back of the photos.
It’s a great way to see beautiful photographs and waste a few hours (or years).
