I’m honored that Quark invited me to speak at their upcoming iPad publishing boot camp in Denver!
I’ll provide some opening comments, and then attendees will spend a day learning to create their own iPad app from scratch. If you can possibly attend this event or the subsequent event in London, please do! It can only increase your value in the area of digital publishing…

Learn How to Create and Publish to iPad Apps in One Day
Quark to Host App Boot Camp Events in London and Denver
DENVER, CO – September 14, 2011 – Quark announced today two upcoming App Boot Camp events that will be held in Denver, CO and London. In each one-day event attendees will learn how to create, design, and publish apps to the App Store, as well as how to publish enriched, immersive content to those apps. Quark’s own experts as well as special industry guests will guide attendees through the process and offer insight into iPad and tablet publishing.
“The upcoming App Boot Camps are going to be great value, informative events. Where else can you reskill yourself or your design team to be iPad app designers in just one day – all without learning to code? We of course invite current QuarkXPress users to join us – no matter what your version. We would also like to extend the invitation to all designers, even if you’re not a QuarkXPress user,” said Gavin Drake, vice president of marketing for Quark.
