Ever need to email a file to a client or get information from your computer when you’re miles away from home?
LogMeIn Ignition for iPhone ($30) is a useful way to access your machines when you’re out and about. Just create a free account at www.logmein.com, install an application on the machine to be controlled, and you’re ready. You can then see your computer’s desktop right from your iPhone and easily send email or run applications.
This app is great for troubleshooting and tech support of target machines, and the software will control both Macs and PCs.
The folks at LogMeIn also offer secure access to your devices through their website for free. Paid versions with more advanced features and control are available.
