Often in QuarkXPress, you’re using the Content tool or other tool to edit an item or group, but you suddenly want to delete the item or group. You may think that to delete the item(s), you need to switch to the Item tool — but you don’t!
Instead of going to the Tools palette to get the Item tool, simply select the item(s) and press Command-K (Windows: Ctrl-K).
It’s easy to remember if you think of this: “Kill this item!”
