When you select “Thumbnails” in the print dialog box in QuarkXPress, it prints very tiny pages.
For larger, more useful pages, set the Scale to 200% in the Print dialog box, and then choose “Thumbnails” from the Pages section of the Print dialog box. Letter-size pages then will print at a useful 24% size.
