Color Essentials: Color and Quality for the Graphic Arts and Sciences, by Gary Field, is now in its third edition. This three-volume set is a useful reference for printers and others involved in the color approval process. It covers color correction concepts and techniques, how to judge color quality, color specifications, and more.
