Acrobat 9 Tip: Enable Commenting in Any PDF
Here’s an easy way to let your clients mark up your QuarkXPress documents, even if they don’t have QuarkXPress: just export it in PDF format by choosing File> Export> Layout as PDF.
Then open the PDF file in Acrobat 9 and select the “Enable for Commenting and Analysis in Adobe Reader” command from the Comments menu, and then re-save the PDF before sending it out.
Your clients can then use the free Adobe Reader 9 and have access to the comment, markup, and analysis tools for your PDF.

I just had Acrobat 9 Installed but there is no “Enable for Commenting…” option under Comments.
I have a pdf created from Frame 9 and need to Enable Commenting for Reader.
Can anyone help?
Thanks!
Hi Laurel,
It has to be Acrobat Pro to have this menu showing up. Do you use Acrobat Standard?

Thanks for the post
However, there is no “Comments” menu on the toolbar
Please can you clarify your tip. I am using Adobe Reader 9 version 9.1.0
Yegeta: this tip is for Adobe Acrobat, not for Adobe Reader. These advanced tools are only available in the full (purchased) version of Acrobat.
