QuarkXPress 7 introduced the redesigned Measurements palette, where almost anything you can adjust is available. The options are tucked under multiple pop-up tabs that intelligently become available according to what you’ve got selected.
However, you can also change the tab behavior of the Measurements palette. Just Control-click or right-click on the left-hand title bar of the Measurements palette to call up its contextual menu.
There, you can set the tab bar to Always Show, Always Hide, or Show When Rolled Over. If you choose Always Hide, the Measurements palette will work like it did in previous versions of QuarkXPress — no tabs.
