To begin a new section from the current page, choose Page> Section:
Then type in the page number you want to assign to this page, and choose a page numbering scheme.
The Page Layout palette in QuarkXPress displays page numbers as they are formatted in their Section. So, if your document begins with a new Section that is defined to begin with “page 65,” that’s what you see. Or perhaps a page number displays in Roman numerals (xxi).
To see their true document page numbers, just option-click on a page thumbnail in the Page Layout palette.
Then, you’ll see the true page number. In this example, “page 65,” is labeled page 1 and page “xxi” is labeled page 21.
