PIA/GATF Announces New Name And Logo
Printing Industries of America, formerly PIA/GATF (Printing Industries of America/Graphic Arts Technical Foundation) and the world’s largest graphic communications association, has a new name, logo, and tagline.
“The new logo depicts the technology, artistry, and dynamic growth of the industry, while the new tagline, ‘Advancing Graphic Communications,’ captures the organization’s innovative, forward-thinking approach,” notes Michael Makin, President and CEO of Printing Industries of America.
Another change is the renaming of the organization’s website from www.GAIN.net to www.printing.org and a redesign in 2009 to a more user-friendly format.
Additionally, Printing Industries of America publishes two magazines, each distributed bi-monthly: GATFWorld and Management Portfolio. In the spring of 2009, these will merge into a new, combined publication: Printing Industries of America: The Magazine.
