Free Training Videos on Quark Interactive Designer
Quark Interactive Designer lets you create and export SWF (Flash) animations from within QuarkXPress 7 or 8. You can begin with an existing QuarkXPress Layout, or you can create a new one from scratch. And you use the tools you’ve already mastered to create all the items you create β including the Interactive items.
Jeff Gamet mentioned the following news item back in March, but I thought it’s worth a reminder:
You can watch Ted Locascio’s entire series of 18 video tutorials, produced by lynda.com, here.
Jay Nelson is the editorial director of PlanetQuark.com, and the editor and publisher of Design Tools Monthly. Heβs also the author of the QuarkXPress 8 and QuarkXPress 7 training titles at Lynda.com, as well as the training videos Quark includes in the box with QuarkXPress 7 . In addition, Jay writes regularly for Macworld and Photoshop User magazines and speaks at industry events.
Hi Jay
I think it is about time a comprehensive book was published on QID. I have been through Lynda.com and quarks tutorials but there are massive gaps in QID’s capabilities.
The QID forum is obviously helpful but you have to search a long time to find the relevant information. Considering QID was launched in 2006, I find the lack of publications surprising.
Do you know of any future possibility of a publication on this product.
I could really do with some help on combining QID with Dreamweaver (for good CSS) to produce a flash and html searchable website.
Regards
Laurie
My book is well underway and will include a CD of templates for all types of projects: presentations, image sequences, and multi-state buttons.
