QuarkXPress Tip: Customize the Toolbox
The new Toolbox in QuarkXPress 8 does a terrific job of condensing the tools down to a minimum. To discover other, related tools, just click and hold on one of the tools that has a small triangle in its bottom right corner. (This includes the Text Content Tool, Rectangle Box Tool, Bezier Pen Tool, and Zoom Tool.)
But if you prefer to have some or all of those hidden tools appear directly in the toolbox rather than hiding under another tool, just hold down the Control/Ctrl key while you select one. It will appear in its own square in the Toolbox. To put a tool back under its original tool, Control/Ctrl-click on the tool.
Not Just For QuarkXPress 8!
