QuarkXPress 7 and 8 let you see your Project in multiple windows or in one split window — just choose Window> New Window or Window> Split Window.
You can also drag the blue chiclet at the top of the vertical scroll bar (or at the right end of the horizontal scroll bar).
Each window can display any page from any Layout. It can have its own view percentage, and be resized.
You can even drag and drop items between Layouts (which was not possible in QuarkXPress 6)! To close a split window, you can either click the red circle at the top of the vertical scroll bar, or choose Window> Split Window> Remove All.
Quark added a two Split Window buttons to QuarkXPress 8, at the bottom left of your project window:
