Student Design Competition from Studica Skills
If you’re a student anywhere in the world, you can enter a competition to win a $30,000 scholarship to the International Academy of Design & Technology in Toronto, Canada.
In addition to the main prize, each month one person will receive a Pantone Color Bridge GGS201 fanbook, an official Quark hat, and either an official Quark backpack or an official Quark laptop case.
The theme of the competition is “Attraction”: your task is to use QuarkXPress to create a poster that advertises a carnival booth for a fundraising function. If you don’t have QuarkXPress, you can download a free copy at Quark’s website that is fully functional for 30 days.
This online student design competition is being conducted by Studica Skills.
Deadline for entries is April 30, 2008.
Jay Nelson is the editorial director of PlanetQuark.com, and the editor and publisher of Design Tools Monthly. He’s also the author of the QuarkXPress 8 and QuarkXPress 7 training titles at Lynda.com, as well as the training videos Quark includes in the box with QuarkXPress 7 . In addition, Jay writes regularly for Macworld and Photoshop User magazines and speaks at industry events.
