Quark issued a press release this morning about some kind of expansion in the “enterprise publishing” arm of the company. I have a phone interview set for later this morning that should clarify what they’re doing.
Meanwhile, I noticed this paragraph in the release, which seems to be aimed at quashing some outrageous and irresponsible rumors I’ve seen published on some websites:
“QuarkXPress is a valuable and widely-used graphic design and page layout tool in its own right, and will play an integral role in Quark DPS,” continued (Quark CEO) Ray Schiavone. “QuarkXPress is and always will be the foundation of our product portfolio and we will continue to invest in it to meet the needs of individual designers and large organizations alike.”
I’ll post more info later today.
