QuarkXPress has a powerful built-in PDF export feature. But if you have Adobe Acrobat, you can also use the Adobe PDF print driver it installs to generate PDFs. This print driver uses Adobe Distiller to create the PDF, so the result is the same as exporting a PostScript file and dropping it onto Distiller — except using just one step. Just choose it as the printer in your Print dialog box.
You can even use any custom PDF Settings you defined in Distiller — those Settings will show up as named Settings in the Print dialog box when you choose Adobe PDF as the printer. Just choose PDF Options from the popup menu in the Print dialog box and select the Setting you want.
