Here’s a tip that can save Mac users no end of headaches:
Create a new folder inside your QuarkXPress application folder and name it Preferences (with a capital P).
QuarkXPress will then use this folder to store preference files. Otherwise, it will store separate preference files for each user on your Mac, inside the Preferences folder in that’s in ~/Library/Preferences/Quark/QuarkXPress 7.0.
Although using this User folder may seem reasonable and safe, QuarkXPress sometimes has trouble when its preference files are stored there.
