Meadows Information Systems’ Batch Print ($175) is an industrial-strength XTension for QuarkXPress 4, 5 or 6 that outputs every document you add to its output list — either to a printer or to a PostScript file.
It can automatically update modified pictures, and set aside documents with problems such as missing DCS plates, fonts, incorrect spot colors, etc. You can also output each document page as a separate file.
In addition, its Print Picture Names option can automatically print the name and/or dimensions of each picture on top of its picture box.
Jay Nelson is the editorial director of PlanetQuark.com, and the editor and publisher of Design Tools Monthly.
