Free Full-day Quark Symposium in Chicago
For the past several months, Quark has been putting on free one-day events in cities across the U.S., to expose designers and other interested people to QuarkXPress 7, Quark Interactive Designer, the Quark Print Collection and all the other tasty new stuff that Quark is serving up these days.
The next stop, and apparently the last one in 2007 is in Chicago on October 30. Find out more at www.quark.com/about/events/symposium
Here’s how they describe the event:
“Quark Symposium 2007 features sessions for designers, production managers, and output providers. Attend in-depth sessions covering design best practices, typography, color management, and more.”And also:
“If you don’t have time to attend the sessions, stop by to speak with QuarkXPress experts or to take QuarkXPress 7 for a test drive. Attendees will receive special gifts and coupons. And you’ll be able to discuss your issues with on-site Quark technical support.”
Jay Nelson is the editorial director of PlanetQuark.com, and the editor and publisher of Design Tools Monthly. He’s also the author of the QuarkXPress 8 and QuarkXPress 7 training titles at Lynda.com, as well as the training videos Quark includes in the box with QuarkXPress 7 .
