Jay Nelson on MacVoices
I had a great time chatting with the ever-gracious Chuck Joiner a few days ago on his MacVoices podcast. We discussed several topics, including Planet Quark. For a little background on why and how Planet Quark came to be, and why I’m excited to be involved with it, have a listen. It’s about 34 minutes long, and the Planet Quark portion begins at 7:45.

Jay Nelson is the editorial director of PlanetQuark.com, and the editor and publisher of Design Tools Monthly. He’s also the author of the QuarkXPress 8 and QuarkXPress 7 training titles at Lynda.com, as well as the training videos Quark includes in the box with QuarkXPress 7 . In addition, Jay writes regularly for Macworld and Photoshop User magazines and speaks at industry events.
Hi Jay…
I will definately listen to that podcast. It should be interesting. By the way, thanks for this blog. Their is too little “useful” info on Quark. Even if it is not my prefered software, as someone who have to use Quark, your blog is a valuable source of useful information. Thanks!
Thanks, Jean-Claude.
The funny thing is, there is actually TONS of useful information about QuarkXPress, but nobody has been collecting and publishing it online until now.
In my conversations with QuarkXPress users, I’ve found that rather than sharing techniques and secrets with each other, they’re all busy getting jobs done. With so many advances in the latest versions of QuarkXPress, I think it’s time to share some techniques and secrets. :-)
So… if you know any power users, please encourage them to contribute to Planet Quark. It helps everyone — and we’re happy to pay contributors for useful content.
