Markzware’s FlightCheck (Pro $499; Designer $199) is the de-facto standard for preflighting files before they are output. This world-class preflight utility doesn’t use or require the creator applications (QuarkXPress, InDesign or Acrobat); instead it processes their documents directly. However, because FlightCheck can check for literally any kind of potential problem, its interface may at first seem daunting.
To help new users and potential users understand how to create rule sets (“Ground Controls” in FlightCheck), Markzware’s Doug Rosen recorded four 4-minute how-to videos. They’ve graciously allowed us to share these videos with the Planet Quark community — you can watch them here.
If you’re new to FlightCheck, or considering adopting it, these videos will make its use very clear.
