Update a Style from Existing Item in QuarkXPress

In QuarkXPress 8.1 and higher, you can update a Paragraph, Character, or Item Style from an existing page item: just click the Update button on the appropriate Style palette. Here’s how it looks on the Style Sheets palette:

This will update the Style to match the altered page item. Notice that when you hover your mouse over the Update button, it displays the attributes that are different about the item that’s on your page. This paragraph uses a different font from the Style Sheet that was originally assigned to it:

And this picture box has a different corner shape and frame from its original Item Style:
