Delete All Guides in QuarkXPress

Tip

Here’s a quick, helpful tip:

To delete all the horizontal guides in QuarkXPress, Option/Alt-click the top (horizontal) ruler.

To delete all the vertical guides, Option/Alt-click the vertical ruler.

    Don’t think this works in 9 though does it?

    Mike: sure it does! To be sure, I just tested it and it worked as planned.

    This is for the PC, right?
    On the Mac you can Option+click on either the horizontal or vertical ruler to delete the guides. One point on the Mac, when you do this if the pasteboard is touching the ruler, then only the guides that extend beyond the page are deleted. To delete the guides On the Page, the page must be touching the ruler.

    I don’t know of a key+click combination to delete all the guides, on the Mac. But it can be done for particular pages or the entire document from the Guides Window > Select All > then click the trash in the Guide Window.
