Customize the Tools Palette!

Tip

In QuarkXPress 8 and 9, the Tools palette clusters items more logically (such as the Text Box linking tools with the Text box tool):

To move a tool out from under other tools and give it its own place in the Tools palette, just hold down the Control key and then click-and-hold on any tool. When you release the mouse button, that toolwill pop into the Tools palette as a separate item:

(Here, both the Linking and Unlinking tools are now in the Tools Palette because I Control-clicked on each one.)

To remove any tool you’ve manually added to the Tools palette, just Control-click it again. It will move back to its original position under another tool.

  2. Jay Nelson Says:

vm: from the Window menu, choose Tools. The Window menu is where you control which palettes are visible or hidden.

Ah, Just discovered my mistake, I thought it would put it on a separate palette out of the toolbox as Illustrator does, but i see now it puts it into the toolbox itself.
