Jay Nelson Interviewed about QuarkXPress 9 and E-Publishing on MacVoices

Recently, I had the pleasure of speaking with Chuck Joiner on his MacVoices podcast about QuarkXPress 9. I always enjoy chatting with Chuck because he lets me bring up historical notes that shed light on current topics.

This time, we talked about the formats that currently dominate electronic publishing (PDF, EPUB, Blio, iPad app), and we discuss the foresight Quark displayed when they built a “format-agnostic” publishing engine (QuarkXPress).

The interview lasts 42 minutes — you can get it at http://tinyurl.com/5sd5ols

Jay Nelson is the editorial director of PlanetQuark.com, and the editor and publisher of Design Tools Monthly. He’s also the author of the QuarkXPress 8 and QuarkXPress 7 training titles at Lynda.com, as well as the training videos Quark includes in the box with QuarkXPress 7 . In addition, Jay writes regularly for Macworld and Photoshop User magazines and speaks at industry events.
