FontGenius is a new application that finds and identifies fonts used in digital images. It returns a list with previews of the typefaces that best match the letters and words in the image.

It can show results based on the fonts installed on your Mac, offers links to foundries for fonts that aren’t installed, and supports a long list of popular image file formats.
This is a handy application for designers who like to take digital photos of type they see when they are out, and then identify the fonts after they get back to the office. FontGenius costs $40.

Hmm. FontMoron would be a more apt title for this app. Tested it on a few samples and not once did it identify the correct font.
Also, why waste $40 when ‘WhatTheFont’ does a better job for free?
