Here’s a keyboard command to remember when your QuarkXPress layout has not refreshed properly and you are left with artifacts on your screen:

Quick Screen Refresh

Mac: press Command-Option-. (period)

Win: press Control-Alt-. (period).

    You can also press F7, and the sceen will refresh quckly.

    That’s right! Pressing F7 will show/hide guides, and a side effect is that will also refresh the display. Good tip!
