Macintosh Fkeys & QuarkXPress

Tip

Some applications use function keys to perform commands. For example, QuarkXPress uses F10 to show/hide the Page Layout (or Document Layout) palette, F11 to show/hide the Style Sheets palette, and F12 to show/hide the Colors palette.

Macintosh Fkeys & QuarkXPressIn Mac OS X 10.4, those Fkeys are commandeered by the operating system to control Exposé and Dashboard.

To give those Fkeys back to QuarkXPress, choose Apple menu> System Preferences> Dashboard & Exposé.

In the Keyboard Shortcuts area, assign a modifier key to those features. Adding the Control key may be a good option for you: Control-F9, Control-F10, etc.

    How do i change my F1 key on my keyboard so when i press it it undoes any text that i have deleted back to normal instead of having to press Apple Z.

    I have Quark Express 7.
